Girls Picture Day

We had the girls pictures taken today. Kennedie wasn't too thrilled but Kyler was photogenic as usual.

Pump It Up Party

Mommy and the girls are having fun at a birthday party for one of Kyler's friends at Pump it Up. Kennedie doesn't look like she is liking it but she kept pointing at the slide and wanting to do it again and again.

Kyler's last day of preschool!

This is Kyler and her preschool teacher Mrs. Flemming on her last day of school. She will start kindergarden next year at Maize Central. She is pretty excited. I'm pretty sure she will handle it better than mommy and I will.

Daddy's little girl!

Daddy's little girl is growing up too fast. Here she is showing her modeling skills before she goes to dance. For the record, this will be the last time she wears make-up until she is 30.

Kyler's Cubbie Award Program

This is Kyler at her Cubbies Awards Ceremony. She completed her second Cubbies book. Her and Katherine go to Cubbies on Sunday nights with Grandma and Grandpa. She loves it.

Kyler the fishing girl!

Daddy has taught Kyler to be quite the fishing child. He went and bought her a new big girl fishing pole to replace the Minnie Mouse one she had given to her by Uncle Gary before she was born. Apparently, her fish were just too big to be reeled in by it anymore. Daddy also bought her a new tackle box with real tackle in it. Unlike most fisherman, she will tell you the real size of the fish she catches. She has been known to catch up to 15 fish in just a short amount of time. She loves fishing with her Daddy.

We just can't believe how fast our kids are growing. Kennedie has moved into the toddler room at her daycare, and the transition has not been the smoothest. She went from being the biggest kid in class to being the smallest kid in class. I think this class is just a little overwhelming for her. She cries when I drop her off, and that just breaks my heart. They did have her make the most adorable mini clothesline with pictures of her in a laundry basket and a few of her finger paintings on it, and it is adorable!!

What a week!!

Wow, what a week. Last Saturday, Kyler had pictures for dance class at 8 in the morning. The teacher wanted even the little girls to wear mascara, blush, eye shadow and lip stick. We decided to ditch the mascara after we had it everywhere on Kyler's face except for her eyelashes. Pictures were chaotic, but they turned out good. After we got home from pictures Kyler went out to play with Daddy and he quickly sent her back inside to wash off her face because he was not liking the makeup that was still on it from pictures!! Sunday, Kyler's award ceremony at church got cancelled due to severe weather threats. Monday Kyler had her last dance class prior to the recital. Tuesday, Kyler had her last day of play group which was sad because her next classroom will be a kindergarten one!! Wednesday night we had dress rehearsal for the recital. Friday and Saturday we had recitals. Saturday night we celebrated Mother's Day with Mamaw's family, and Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day with Chad's family. It was quite the week!! The recital couldn't have gone better. Kyler and Katherine were so cute. I think it was a bit of a wake up call for the Daddies to see their babies with makeup and looking so grown up. I think a comment was made that they are going to just have to choose their battles when these little beautiful girls grow up to be beautiful teens and boys enter the picture!!
